Sarah is a firm believer in the midwifery model of care, which involves educating new parents about their choices throughout the pregnancy and birth. From the time she conceives her baby, a mother is now responsible to make educated decisions regarding her nutrition, participating in any tests offered by her care provider, her options about breast-feeding, decisions to circumcise her son, education on vaccines and more. The information can be overwhelming!
Midwifery care is about parents making informed choices. Sarah sincerely wants her clients to understand and consider all their options and make the best decisions for their families. Too often women rely solely on information they receive from one doctor, forgetting that they are responsible for educating themselves about their own health care as well.
Fathers, Sarah wants the midwifery experience to involve you as well. Sarah works very closely with fathers to ensure they feel comfortable and confident during labor and birth, giving their partner the proper support . This allows fathers to be as involved as they choose to be. Fathers are an integral part of this process and Sarah is there to ensure that they are a huge part of the whole process.
In order for every mother to fully enjoy the midwifery experience, Sarah offers home births in the Dallas/Fort Worth area or clinic births at Gentle Beginnings Birth Center in Hurst, Texas, which ever you feel most comfortable with.
